Mit der Gründung der IT’SCA beabsichtigen wir, ein Zentrum für Theaterforschung, Ausbildung und des Experimentierens rund um die Commedia dell’ Arte und andere Formen der Komödie aufzubauen.

Wir möchten Darstellern verschiedener Genres der Schauspielkunst die Kunst der traditionellen Form der italienischen Commedia dell’ Arte näher bringen und durch praktische Beispiele die Bedeutung, Einflüsse und Entwicklung der Commedia dell’ Arte auf der Weltbühne vorstellbar machen.

Für Studenten, die diesen Wunsch haben, stehen wir zur Verfügung, um mit ihnen den Weg zum Kabarett, Stand up Comic, Sitcom, Clown und Burlesque durch die Commedia dell’Arte Techniken zu forschen.

Unser Wunsch ist nämlich, mit erfahrenen Lehrkräften eine schöpferische Arbeitsatmosphäre zu kreieren, in der Darsteller essentielle Schauspiel-Techniken, die in der Kunst der Komödie begründet sind, entdecken und entwickeln können.

Unsere Methoden schöpfen aus den den Lehren Jacques Lecoq´s, dessen Schule uns beide wesentlich geprägt hat, ergänzt durch die professionellen Erfahrungen an der Seite von Carlo Boso und Dario Fo.

Im Laufe vieler Jahre hat sich unser Rüstzeug durch dazugewonnene Erfahrungen in der Schauspielpraxis, Regie und Lehre vertieft und erweitert. Kulturell unterschiedliche Prägungen haben uns durch unsere Arbeit in anderen Ländern Europas künstlerisch befruchtet.

Wir laden Interessenten ein, an einer Ausbildung teilzunehmen, die wir als Einführung in die Vielschichtigkeit der in der Commedia dell’ Arte enthaltenen Elemente verstehen.

Wir bieten unsere ersten Commedia dell’Arte – Kurse in Form von Block-Seminaren an, mit dem Ziel in die Welt der “Commedia dell’Arte” so tief wie möglich einzutauchen, in die “menschliche Komödie”, wie sie der große Theaterpädagoge Jacques Lecoq genannt hatte.

Ein Kurs für Sänger, der der „Opera Buffa“ gewidmet ist, ist In Vorbereitung.

Diese zweiwöchige intensive Seminar-Arbeit bietet Bewegungstraining, Tanz, stimmliche Arbeit, Gesang, Akrobatik und Slapstick, Pantomime, Improvisationstechniken, das Spiel mit der ledernen Halbmaske und der mit ihnen verbundenen Improvisationstechnik, Hintergrund zur Commedia (relevantes Dokumentations- und Filmmaterial) sowie Szenen-Etüden aus Komödien von Ruzzante, Goldoni, Molière, und Shakespeare.

Wir stellen uns der Frage, wie Commedia dell’ Arte heute dargeboten werden kann.

Das Seminar kommt insbesondere denjenigen Darstellern zugute, die ihre Spielfähigkeiten hinsichtlich der komischen Kunst erweitern möchten.

Wir wünschen uns, das in dieser Arbeit jeder Teilnehmer in sich noch unbekannte Facetten des Talents entdeckt, neue Techniken erwirbt und sich stimuliert fühlt, weiter in die dramatische Welt der Komödie einzudringen! 

Die Kurssprachen sind Englisch, Deutsch, Italienisch und Französisch.

         Abbiamo fondato l’ IT’SCA con lo scopo di creare un centro internazionale per la ricerca, la formazione e la sperimentazione tetrale che abbia come tema centrale la Commedia dell’Arte.

Ci proponiamo di introdurre attori di ogni provenienza alle tecniche della Commedia dell’Arte tradizionale tenendo sempre presente le possibilità che questo genere di teatro può offrire allo sviluppo di una nuova drammaturgia della Commedia e del teatro in genere.

Non escludiamo nel lavoro dell’ IT’SCA, per gli studenti che eventualmente lo richiedano, lo sviluppo di strade creative che portino al cabaret, allo stand up comic, alla sitcom, al clown, al burlesque.

Il nostro metodo si basa sia in senso teorico che pratico su quello di Jacques Lecoq, ampliato da preziose esperienze professionali vissute con Carlo Boso e Dario Fo.

Innumerevoli ruoli recitati, messe in scena e anni di insegnamento ci hanno dato la possibilità di mettere in pratica e di approfondire i metodi dei nostri mentori.

In un’atmosfera di intenso lavoro creativo gli insegnanti del’IT’SCA (attori e registi professionalmente attivi) vogliono offrire ad attori e appassionati del teatro tutte quelle tecniche attoriali che hanno le loro radici nella Commedia dell’Arte e che nella maggior parte delle scuole di teatro tradizionali vengono trattate come materie secondarie. 

Curriculum degli insegnanti.

La formula che offriamo per i nostri primi seminari è quella del seminario compatto di 2 settimane. I nostri seminari si ripetono con intervalli di circa un mese con formula equivalente, ma tematicamente differenti: la Commedia dell’Arte in autori come Goldoni, Molière o Shakespeare verrà trattata in seminari dedicati.

Seminari dedicati a cantanti classici sul tema “Opera Buffa” sono in preparazione.

Durante le due settimane di ogni corso sono previste 8 ore giornaliere di insegnamento:

Tecniche del movimento (danza, pantomima, acrobatica), educazione della voce, canto, slapstick, gioco della maschera neutra e espressiva, la mezza maschera di cuoio e l’arte dell’improvvisazione ad essa legata, più esercizi su scene di Goldoni, Molière, Shakespeare, Ruzzante, sono le nostre materie di insegnamento, senza dimenticare lo sfondo storico, le avventure di quegli attori e i racconti di un’epoca che hanno sancito la nascita del teatro professionale più famoso del mondo. 

STRUTTURA DEI CORSI

Agli studenti più avanzati e dotati proporremo un’ulteriore sfida teatrale e creativa con la domanda : „Può la Commedia dell’Arte raccontare la società e il mondo di oggi?“.

Le lingue ufficiali della scuola sono inglese, tedesco, italiano e francese.

The International Theatre School for Commedia dell´Arte (ITSCA) wishes to create a centre for theatre research and experiment to further the interest of the Commedia dell’Arte and the art of comedy.

The origins of this desire have emerged from fascination, explorations and discoveries that we have gained through our contact with this action-packed / exhilarating form of theatre. We applaud the enourmous role the Commedia dell´Arte has played in the historical development of theatre and the art of comedy, Through our activities we seek to research and rediscover it´s various acting and staging techniques with the aim of stimulating further impulses for a theatre of today, to gain a perspective of how the Commedia dell´Arte may be re-invented and develop a vision for the future.

Rejecting all mystifation and sticky sentimentality surrounding the Commedia dell´Arte, our pursuit is to explore it´s fundanmental needs and qualities. Vitality, struggle, excitement, and the demands of virtuosity it makes upon the actor, to mention just a few.

Our desire is to establish a school and creative work centre with experienced teachers who may offer an extensive and methodical pedagogy, to all theatre performers, (including singers, writers and visual artists).

To launch the school, we propose a series of seminars based on the theme of the Commedia dell´Arte. For three two week perioids during the months of Okt.,Nov, Jan 2012 , our first seminares will be offer a training that will introduce participants to the many different elements contained within the Commedia dell´Arte. (The human comedy, J. Lecoq)

The two week course includes, physical training, dance,voice work, singing, acroatics and slap stick, pantomime, improvisation techniques, the half mask of the commedia dell´arte, background of the Commedia ( relevant documentation including film material ), exploring the Commedia dell´arte in relationship to Goldoni, Rruzzante, Moliere and Shakepeare, and posing the question how may the Commedia be peformed today.

Our objectives are that the experiences made and the techniques learnt will serve to encourage the immagination and provide further rich resources for the actor.

The seminars are offered to those who share a passion for the theatre, who wish to strenghten their improvisation and vocal skills and who have a desire to develop their comic possibilities as performers, ( stand-up comedy, cabaret, story telling, burlesque, circus and variéte )

Our teaching methods have been developed through gained knowledges from teachers (Ecole Jacques Lecoq , Paris, Carlo Boso and Dario Fo, Italy), from realization of performances and teaching practice throughout Europe over a number of years.

The school’s official languages are English, Italian, German  and French.

The next Commedia dell´Arte Workshop: Berlin 18. until 24. June 2012.hours daily. We offer : The Commedia dellÁrte and studies of the main characters. the sources and the performing techniques of the leather half masks, practical exercises relating to the „ Canovacci „ (structured improvisation ),acrobatics, slapstick, improvisation techniques. It is planned that at the conclusion of the workshops that an open performance will be given to a public!

La “nostra” Commedia dell’Arte

La mia idea di Commedia dell’Arte vuole unire le esperienze della scuola francese di Jacques Lecoq alla tradizione italiana, ricostruita con anni di paziente lavoro da Giorgio Strehler e Dario Fo.

Ho avuto la fortuna di conoscere e di lavorare personalmente con Dario Fo e di aver conosciuto la tradizione del Piccolo Teatro di Milano attraverso Carlo Boso, uno degli sfortunati “vice” di Ferruccio Soleri (a Carlo, pur essendosi allenato con Soleri per ben 7 anni consecutivi, non fu mai permesso di recitare Arlecchino nel “Servo di due padroni”), sfortuna che ha fatto però la fortuna di centinaia di attori appassionati di Commedia che hanno trovato in lui un grande maestro. Io, tra quelli, ho avuto in più la chance di essere assistente di Carlo dal 1980 al 1984.

Di Jacques Lecoq ho conservato il ricordo di un metodo d’insegnamento studiato in ogni dettaglio, di una pedagogia teatrale che guida l’attore, attraverso appositi e studiatissimi esercizi, passo dopo passo nei meandri delle tecniche di improvvisazione, fino a trasformarlo in un Commediante, appunto con la “C” maiuscola.

Da Dario Fo ho appreso ad avere fiducia nella mia immaginazione, per poi prendere quel materiale, uscito senza freni, e sottoporlo ad una disciplina drammaturgica implacabile, tesa a far arrivare il messaggio al pubblico con tutto l’impatto di una teatralità piena di implacabile ironia e rafforzata da una consapevole coscienza dei conflitti sociali.

Carlo Boso infine mi ha fatto capire che cosa è una “situazione” e il cosiddetto “comico di situazione”. Il che significa essere in grado di cercare e trovare lazzi, gag, battute che abbiano a che vedere con la situazione stessa e solo con essa.

Pur essendo ancora attivo in scena come attore e divertendomi ancora come regista penso che sia arrivato il momento di trasferire a chiunque sia interessato ciò che ho appreso in questi 35 anni di teatro di cui quasi 30 dedicati alla Commedia dell’Arte.

Questa idea di scuola, elaborata insieme a Matthew Burton, si rifà concretamente a delle esperienze belle e entusiasmanti della mia gioventù artistica. Seminari e Workshop (Parigi 1981, Avignone 1982) in cui si lavorava dalla mattina alla sera con grande intensità. Pantomima, acrobatica, danza, combattimento scenico, voce, improvvisazione si susseguivano durante la giornata senza soluzione di continuità ed io ero felice perché, innamorato del teatro, potevo fare il teatro che amavo. Silvia Ventura

SILVIA VENTURA  

http://www.silviaventura.dance-germany.org                                                                                                                                                    Silvia Ventura was born in Padua, Italy,   1968.  Aged 3, she began her swimming carrier and…with 8 years old she took up GYMNASTICS, a long way that led her to compete in the Italian Championship.

Soon after she discovered DANCE and the passion to it, took up Ballett, Modern and Jazz in Padua. She attended her Dance Education in Nice and London and later landed in Berlin, which became her main work and home town.
As a freelance dancer she has been working with different companies and choreographers, and she created her own Soloworks.
She is teaching and choreographing in a Dance Education Programm as well as giving Training for professional and non-professional dancers.
She is co-foudner of a CHILDREN CIRCUS and her last discovery is FELDENKRAIS, which she started an Education Programme of.
She would love to become a CLOWN, that is, to put dance in ‘burlesque’..and this is not a joke!
She is fluent in english, french, german, spanish and…jeah, italian!Silvia Ventura has been dedicating time to pedagogical activities since her young age, being teaching Gymnastics after she finished her carrier in that field.

SILVIA VENTURA – TEACHING EXPERIENCES

Since early ‘dance life’, besides her dance carrier, she has been teaching Contemporary Dance for both professional and non-professional dancer, mainly in Berlin at the Tanzfabrik, Dock11, Tanzprobebhüne Marameo, but also in
Essen at the PACT-Zollverein, and in Padua for Associazione ABRACALAM.

Since 2005 she intensified her activitiy in making it an important part of her professional life, teaching Contemporary Dance and Composition/Choreographic laboratory in the Education Dance Programme at the School for Performing Arts ‘DIE ETAGE’.
In the same school she is teaching class in both Departement for Dramatic Arts and Artistics/Akrobatics.

Beside Dance, she has been teaching Acrobatics in a Children Circus which she was co-founder of, and collaborating with Toussini Circus Mobile.

Matthew Burton

MATTHEW BURTON

Born in Perth, West Australia. He completed theatre studies at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Sydney Australia. There followed 3 years of engagements as actor with the Melbourne Theatre Company, South Australian Theatre Company and a number of Australian film and television productions.

He voyages to South East Asia and India and experiences for the first time asiatic theatre forms of mask and dance dramas.

There follows two years engagement as actor at the Half Moon Theatre in London and the Duke´s Playhouse in Lancaster, North England.

With a desire to acquire new acting skills, he decides upon further studies at the Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Paris, whose teachers also included Monika Pagneaux, Philippe Gaulier, Pierre Byland and Serge Martin.

Completing these studies, he decides to further the discoveries made in Paris, especially in the forms of Commedia del ´Arté and clown, by moving to Florence, Italy. Cacofonico Clown Theatre is created and the fruits of the projects were performed firstly throughout Italy, (especially Milan and contact with Dario Fo ), and then to France, Holland, Norway, Germany and with an invitation to the London Mime Festival.

Since living and working in Berlin he has been involved in many varied theatre and international film projects either as actor, director or as teacher. He was early member of the ensemble with Teatr Kreatur ( Andrej Woran ) and later created works and performed with Theater Ton und Kirschen. Both of these ensembles explored and developed theatre techniques and forms that were physical, expressive, taking the Commedia dell´Arte as a source for the many different productions. Both companies were invited to International festivals and toured throughout Europe.

Since 1988 he has conducted seminars relating to the actor and the mask,- Commedia dell´Arte, neutral mask and expressive masks- in Italy, Holland, France and Norway. He has taught and created pieces with young german -turkish performers, creating productions of Moliere and Shakespeare which were invited to perform at state theatres of Cottbus, Schwedt and the Shakespeare Festival at Neuss, in Germany.

Since 2002 he has been a regular guest teacher at the University of Arts in Berlin in the department for theatre pedagogy.

From 2008 – 2011 he was director of acting at theatre school Die Etage, Berlin, and lately conducted mask classes at the Theater Akademie Vorpommern.

2011 he establishes with Alberto Fortuzzi the International School of Commedia dell’Arte Berlin.
